MY FINAL SCHOOL YEAR

My pevious school is Takheni Secondary School .It is situated in a small area called ELukwatini .It is  a developed place under Albert Luthuli Municipality .It is having a complex and a business area developing to become a mall. The school is acomodationg all kinds of learners nbecause there are even those who are having certain disabilities.It is a government school.

There are three different streams and I was in the Science stream doing the  following subjects : Mathematics 

Physical Sciences 

English 

Siswati 

Geography

Life Orientations 

Life Sciences 

Many people were in the Science stream and we had a small number in the General stream.I matriculated in 2012 .

My name is Nonduduzo Saint Maziya .I am a foundation phase teacher in training doing my first year at the Teacher Education Campus located in Siyabuswa.

MY GOALS AS A TEACHER .

A goal is something that you want to achieve . My goals as a teacher are,

To promote learning and teaching in my society .I want to see the passing rate In the elementary schools improving especially in less developing areas .The rate of illiterate people is increasing in South Africa  and the problem is that the was no strong foundation for those people during their elementary school.In order for us to get high passing rate in matric as a teacher in training for foundation phase I want to prepare my children and give them a strong  and stable foundation that they are going to use as a weapon for their future.

HOW I SEE LEARNING AND TEACHING

I see learning and teaching as an active process where the educators and learners participate in class. The teachers and learners works together to make sure that this process is successful.  Teachers provide the learners with the work to do or activities  but they are  not allowed to spoon-feed them .When leaners  don’t understand the task it is the job and responsibility of a teacher to assist that learner .

The teaching  and learning process is actually some sort of a relationship .Educators must build a strong bond with the learners so that there can be a good communication between them ,by so doing the children won’t be afraid to discuss the social problems that tends to be a barrier for their education  .

I would like to have that strong kind of relationship with my learners .

HOW I SEE MYSELF AS A TEACHER IN THE LEARNING AND TEACHING SITUATION :

I see myself as a caring teacher . As a foundation phase teacher I would like to see myself having a strong bond with my learners . I want them to be free and be able to tell me anything even if it is personal because some children’s personal life do affect their academic performance . I want my learners to perform good in class so I am willing to work hard and willing to go further miles just to provide them with enough information .
